Excerpt from Orphans Chapter 4

I am actually writing tonight.
This is the beginning blurb of the fourth chapter of the WIP I’m typing away at tonight. I find this story does it’s job. Which is to suck you in and never let you go. It’s a Young Reader/Young Adult Science Fiction/Fantasy story. I think it’s coming along nicely.

Oh, right the blurb:

Total, complete whiteness. If you’ve ever been struck with side the head by a steam eared mother or thrashed about on a rollercoaster going ungodly fast. The white grey fuzz are nothing compared to blacking out. Oddly named, because you don’t see anything—absolutely no color, not even black. Everything and anything around you is white. It doesn’t last that long, but it’s almost cool, if not for the fact you were unconscious.

That’s the first paragraph of the fourth chapter. I am still in first draft mode. This will last a long while, but I hope to keep the essence of my protagonist’s voice.
Ok. Back to word doc screen.
